A feature that you will use a lot is that of being able to print your calendar. You don’t want to have to carry your laptop with you all the time to be able to see your appointments. It makes much more sense to print your daily schedule when you start working in the morning so you have it available all the time.

You can easily add a new friend later (or alas remove on that is no longer with us), print the calendar again and thereby make sure you never forget a birthday.
Another feature that is virtually indispensable in our day and age is the ability to integrate with your cell phone and/or email software. This way you can set up reminders so the system will let you know about upcoming events before the time.
