If staying organized were so easy you would not be reading this article. In reality many people struggle with staying organized, when making a few changes can have a dramatic impact on getting and staying organized.
Here are 4 tips that may help you.
1. Change what you do. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
You can begin to stay organized if you will just change things you do in your daily life. An example of this would be if you are in the habit of throwing things on the floor with the idea that you’ll pick them up later.
Start by putting them away right now. This will help you be more organized and can lead to additional changes you can make.
2. Reward yourself when you make a change. Incentives work to help people do what needs to be done.
When you make a change that helps you stay more organized reward yourself with something meaningful. It could be something small that doesn’t cost a lot of money, as long as you view it as a reward.
3. Hire someone. If you’re an extremely busy person you can hire people to do things for you.
Certainly you can hire someone to clean in your house. You might hire somebody to walk your dog. If you run an online business you might outsource certain tasks that need to be done.
4. Be Realistic. Staying organized is not something that happens overnight. Take small steps, set small goals, and you will ultimately become more organized.
